Solifos BRUsens V9

Fiber optic strain sensing cable, mini, flexible, armored with central metal tube and covered with structured PA outer sheath. Strain range up to 1% (10000 μstrain).

Due to optical fiber separated with steel tube the cable is an optimum sensor for Brillouin interrogators when high spatial resolution and repeatability is not demanded. Cables with internal steel tube are not advised for use with OFDR interrogators as the fiber may slip inside the outer shell what is detected by high resolution instruments. The same slip level can be neglected/averaged by systems with lower spatial resolution.
